I am making progress on my book of poetry - the one I have been developing since winter of 2016, and which includes poems from way back in 2002!
As you may remember, I originally titled it "A Blueberry Book of Rhymes" and it was going to be for children ages 5 - 10. However, after hiring a professional children's book editor, I've changed my approach due to the abstract themes, and specific messages I realized are really more for my peers.
So, I've renamed the working title to "Musings for the Child at Heart" (there's a ring to it, yes?) and am targeting to teens and above (though there will be poems young readers will enjoy as well)
Here is one of my favorite recent poems, for which I created a mok-up illustration layout to give you a feel of how the book will look.
